Dear collaborators,
The theme of our upcoming Conference on the Ministry in October is: “A New Season — Seize the Moment.”
As I have been reflecting on John 14:2, where Jesus declares: “There is plenty of room in my Father’s house” (Good News Bible), an image has come to mind: the image of a great house.
This image also connects with Jesus’ words in John 4:35b (Good News Bible): “I tell you, look around you and see how the fields are ripe for harvesting.” Jesus invites us to recognize what God is already doing and to seize the moment.
We are entering a season where God is building a great house. A house made up of many families, many communities, different generations, and different cultures, who together form one great family: His Church.
In this house, the big and the small exist together. Every person matters. Every relationship has value. Every person who joins this family contributes to its growth. Jesus remains the cornerstone of this great house, and through our relationships, our love, and our shared commitment, we participate in its building.
Growth belongs to God, but we are called to discern it and participate in what He is doing. We are invited to welcome, accompany, love, and serve those God places along our path.
Today, we are witnessing a new openness toward the person of Jesus, especially among young adults and newcomers. Through authentic relationships, God is preparing hearts and calling us to share the hope of the Gospel together.
This mission cannot be accomplished alone. We are called to move forward together: supporting one another, encouraging one another, equipping one another, forgiving one another, committing ourselves together, and proclaiming the good news of Jesus together.
This is why this conference will be an important moment for us to gather, discern what God is doing, and seize this new season.
We are delighted to welcome Shaila Visser, National Director of Alpha Canada, who will be a wonderful guest to accompany us as we explore this theme together.
We warmly welcome you all. May God give us eyes to see, hearts ready to respond, and the faith to seize the moment.

This year, the District is opening up its event for church planters to anyone interested, involved, or planning to be involved in church planting. On October 6, 2026, between 2:30 p.m. and 8 p.m., our main speaker, Shaila Visser and our guest speaker, Paul Fraser, will share their experiences and tools with us to encourage us as we embark on this new season.
